POWELL
We are beyond overwhelmed! We don't
even have the words to express how
blessed we are to have such supportive
loved ones in our lives. All the kind words,
prayers, lovely memories shared of Brent...
they help to heal our shattered hearts. We'd
like to thank McGlynn's for their genuine
care and professionalism helping us with
Brent's arrangements. We'd also like to
thank Rev. Robert Adams for providing a
comforting funeral service. Thanks to the
ladies of First Presbyterian Church for
providing coffee for everyone waiting in line
during the visitation, as well as the lunch
after the funeral. We were amazed at all the
lives Brent touched as shown in the turn
out, classmates, co-workers, lifelong
friends, neighbours, etc. It was so
comforting to see all the donations made to
Huron Perth Mental Health. Thanks also to
everyone who sent flowers, plants, cards
with beautiful words of comfort & support,
food & special memorials, in honour of
Brent, to our homes. All the phone calls &
visits have also been greatly appreciated,
just to know everyone is thinking of us, with
care & concern. We are deeply touched by
the outpouring of love & support. We
appreciate & welcome all your prayers for
us & him as well. Thank you just does not
cover it. - Richard & Carolyn, Ryan &

RETIRED FROM "THE STAR BUS"
It was a hard decision to make to retire from
driving my wheelchair school bus. My thirty-
three kids were good to me, polite and
respectful and they would help me anytime
if needed. Lots of tears were shed on my
last day, Friday April 1, 2016, as I said
goodbye to them. I also had many parents
meet me on the route as I dropped off their
children, wishing I would stay driving - then
more tears. I received so many treats,
beautiful flowers, fragrant candles, cards,
gift certificates, precious figurines and hugs.
I'm so lucky to have had wonderful kids and
super parents. I will miss my little man
Dean and "EA' Mary. Many thanks and I
love you all so much and will miss all of
you. The kids named my bus "The Star
Bus." - Norah (Nona) Eckert
