Paquette is bringing his Elvis tribute show "The Elvis Concert" to the stage of the Blyth Memorial Hall on Sat- urday, April 9. In this all-new show for the 2016 season, Paquette will be backed by the full band The Rockin' Royals and the sensational Tonettes. Expect to hear the songs from Elvis' Vegas era, which was from 1969 through the 1970s, including "Suspicious Minds", "Kentucky Rain; "In the Ghetto" along with other classics mixed in with some of the more obscure songs. Paquette fell in love with Elvis' music many years ago. This love manifested itself into Paquette becom- ing an Elvis Tribute Artist, getting his start in the bud- ding Elvis festivals and competitions which took hold approximately ten years ago. Paquette remarks, "Of all of the awards I received in Elvis competitions, the ones from Collingwood are some of my most cherished." Because you love your life. Collingwood holds the larg- est competition in the world. Paquette's first Collingwood Elvis award was in the non-professional competition followed by twice winning the Grand Championship to be crowned Canadian Champ. In his show, Paquette performs the songs respect- fully with his own interpre- tation to celebrate the music and bring out the concert feel. As one of the people who works and trav- els with him states, "There is only one Elvis, but Pete's interpretation of Elvis comes through with the passion that he shows on stage through his voice, his looks, his moves and his charisma." For six years Paquette toured across Canada with his first show "Elvis the Moments': Unlike most pre- dictions by the venues, the average age of the audience tends to be from 30-60 years old, with both much older and much younger in the mix. The concerts are often seen as an intergen- erational experience where the older fans introduce Elvis to the new generation. Paquette is proud to be able to bring these types of experiences to his audi- ences time and time again. His shows are highly antici- pated by those who have experienced his perfor- mances, making new fans not only of Elvis, but of Paquette himself. Pete Paquette has opened his own company, Paquette Productions. This gives Paquette control over what is delivered as a show. He states, "Production is who I am now," explaining that it has been an exciting jour- ney from participating in the early competitions to becoming a business man. Having his own production company also allows Paquette the opportunity of showcasing new artists and shows under his banner. This is exciting as he knows MADE YOU LOOF how his own shows have won over audiences to the classic music of the past and he enjoys being a part of that growing movement of bringing back the experi- ences and memories. The slogan of his company is, "Bringing you the best in entertainment." Paquette is thrilled to bring his new show to Blyth. He has performed in Blyth in the past, but this time it will be a new production with "The Elvis Concert". Paquette advises those who plan to attend to be prepared to sing along, laugh, cry and feel the performance. You can learn more about Pete Paquette and his show at paquetteproductions. com.
