PARAMOUNT.
The Paramount foot ball team
played an interesting match
Zion team on Dominion Day at the
pic-nic which was held in Mr. John
McDonagh's bush. The agreement
between the two captains was that
they were to play an hour and if noth-
ing was. scoured they should play
another half hour to decide the match.
'The teams being well matched .brought
in a return from the .first heat one
:goal for Paramount and the last heat
brought nothing,so the game was
'decided in favor of Paramount. Zion
boys are very gritty as they challenged'
Paramount again but they .will. have
to learn how to receive a visiting team
better before our boys will play with
them again.
Mr. Reuben riffin raised a piece to
'lis barn last Saturday afternoon.
Owing . to the .rain the work was
delayed until late in the evening but
when the men started it was not Bong
until the frame was up ,to. its place.
The captains were John Agnew and
Robt. Webster, Jr.
r. John Martin, of Paramount,
„A, eleven hundred sixty-five lbs. ° of
milk to this 'factory on Monday.,
Mr. Philip Tennyson brought about
5200 lbs.. of milk in from the boundary
east route on Monday.
Mr. Alex. McDiartnid raised his
barn of its foundation and put six
feet more on the posts,
Haying is again commencing, the
hayy crop is going to be . something
immense in these parts.
Mr. Angus Beaton intends raising
a barn the latter part of this 'week.

where the home has been broken up.
The public school books . are used.
The moral and religious , training of
the young committed to the home is
well cared for. Only $100 is charged
for a pupil in tho Residential Academy
including board, washing, lodging and
tuition for a year.—Cont.

Re Rev. A. B. Damill, spent a few
ays last week in the village and
vicinity 'as noticed in your last issue,
in the interest of his Ladies' College
and obtained good prospects of getting
' some few students from this part.
The 'Institution • has an excellent
reputation for its thoroughness and
comprehensiveness. Tts location and
