It just gives the total number of industrial establish- n}ents in Canada, irrespectiveof mining as 75,765. In 1881 the number was 49,923, an increase during the tenyears of 25,842, or nearly 52 per cent. The total number of employees in these ,establishments in 1891 was 377,496, an increase of 112,561 or 44 per cent.
