We believe. that Duncan Beaton, , of
Clover Valley is' making great prepat- `
`Won for erecting a, new frame barn
on his premises, which is very needful
•on every farm, and an iteprovement
to the looks of the place. Dune. also
hauls milk through the Valley on a
route to the Paramount cheese and
.butter factory this season. I tell y
girls Dune, is a hustler and is sing
yet, so watch and wait.
Miss Jannie Sterling, of Leehurn,
visiting her sister, Mrs. Harry Cam
bell of Clover Valley.
Miss Lizzie McColl, of Amberley,
visiting friends in Coral• Wreath.
Mr. Harry Pritchard, of Clover
Valley, received a slight flesh wound
on the back of one his hands, which
annoyes • him very much of late,
as we believe .blood poisoning set in
and is the cause of his trouble.
'The directors of the Paramount
cheese and butter factory are having
a new hog -pen erected on their prem-
ises near the old one. Mr. McOharles
of Lochalsh has the job.
Mr, Wm. McGuire has purchased
the farm of 100 acres that was once
owned by Norman McLennan, from a
firm in Toronto for the suni of $2,500.
We believe Mr. Wm. McGuire to be
one of, the most enterprising farmers
of Clover Valley.
We beleive that Mrs. Jennie Slither -
land, who was residing, in Wingham,
Ont. is again in our villa,
Mr. Donald Sutherland, late of
Wingham paid Coral Wreath a Dying
visit one day last. week.

Mr. Robinson of. the Paramount
'butter and, cheese factory is around
buying hogs to enclose in the new pen
to consume the whey made in the
said factory contrary to Mr. Lowle's
views. Be ,thinks that the Patrons
of the factory would realize a greater
amount of money if the 'whey was
sent back with the drawer to. each
Patron, hist or her own share, and then
to feed it to their calves or hogs as
they felt disposed.
Mr. Alex. Thampson of the galley
. had a narrow escape from cutting his
foot the other day. It appears that
he was dressing the end of a rail,
which suddenly turned allowing the
axe to go into his foot instead of. the.
rail. We' believe that the boot re-
ceived an ugly gash, but the foot
escaped. with a mere scratch. Be a
little more careful next time Alex.
We beleive that Mr. Peter Mut ray
has got the most of his summer -follow
ploughed, thus being far in advanceof
his neighbors. Henry is a hustler.
If the farmers in this section have
bad crops they cannot _blame it on the
drought this fear.
We understand that their is going
to be a grand display of sights or views
of London, to be shown -at Olivet
church on Monday. evening, May 23rd,
1892. Admittancefee moderate.
boors open at 7.30, sights to be seen
at 8 p. m. Come every body and put
in a plcisant evening. We beleive the
proceeds goes to help defray the ex-
penses on:thc manse.
We beleive that tenders are out for
the erection of a cold dry room in
connection with the Paramount butter
'and. cheese factory. I wonder what
next.
