Mission maps of India were dist buted to the congregations, and as four additional maps are required to supply each congregation with one the .clerk was instructed to procure the number required. The following Session records were produced for examination, and on the report of the committee appointed to examine them were attested as care- fully and correctly kept, vizWrox- eter, Lucknow, Belgrave, Molesworth, Cranbrook and Ethel. The financecommittee reported the Presbytery Fund to be in a satisfac- tory. condition. Mr. Ross presented a petition from theYoung People'sSociety of Christian Endeavor of Melville church, Brussels, asking the Presbytery to overture the General Assembly to take steps to accomplish the federation of the various Young People's Societies on the line Of Christian Endeavor with a common. constitution: The petition was transmitted by the Session with approval and was favorably enter- tained by the Presbytery. • The Pres- bytery resolved to overture the General Assembly to appoint a special committee to frame a suitable consti- tution .for a Young People's Christian Union, more, :or less similar to what exists itt.the Established --'and Free churches ef Scotland, or on the general lines of the united Society of Christian EndeavOr of the United States, and submit the same with recommendations to the next General Assembly with a view to definite action. Messrs. Ross and Davidson were appointed to support the over- ture before the General Assembly. The Rev. Mr. Stewart, of Belmore, being present was invited to sit as corresponding member. We believe that Mr. Robt. Mc- Adams, of this place, had a rather serious time with a orse the other day. It appears that Bob drove up to Mr. J. W. Murray's gate, and on reaeling there the horse took fright at a dog or something and ran, away, but Bob soon recovered the .lines and stopped the animal and attempted to bring him _ back but he, it ,apbears„ would not have ..it that way for he' bounded • off, making a wreck of the rig • at least so we hear. Miss Maggie Murray, of Paramount, is at present visiting in Coral Wreath centre. Rev. A. F. and Mrs. McQueen, . of Ripley,. paid Coral Wreath a flying visit last Monday. We are glad to see the smiling countenance of Mr. Samuel Leech with us once more. Sam is a good head and will always be welcomed back to, Paramount; especially with the fair ones. We are sorry to:- note that Daniel Potcheria siek.. We hope i• • soon hear of her seedy -recovery. We believe that :Mr. Duncan Mc- Kenzie, of the 2nd con. of Kinloss, late of Vancouver, B. If the latter he will have to play his hand for all it is worth or clubs: will be trump instead of hearts.
