'91 at two o'clock in the afternoon by Peter Corrigan, auctioneer, the following property viz :—The north halves of lots number six, seven and eight in the first concession of the Township of Huron in the County of -Bruce. The lands contain, in the whole, one hundred and fifty acres, of which about one hundred and twenty acres are cleared and fit for cultivation, the balance being timbered principally with hardwood. CHICAGO, Dei. 13.—Canada defeated the "Turks" in Saturday morning's pull in 27 minutes. The first evening pull was won by America, . defeating Canada in - 18 minutes, winning first'prize, $1,000. . The Scots landed the Irish and sec- ond money in the second tug in ],O; minutes, and also received a special; prize of $50 for the neatest team.
