elections took place, owing to the in- -
complete state of many of the returns,
the barrow majorities in some of the
constituencies, and the fact that some
of the elections have not yet been
held, it is impossible to tell just what
the -final result /ill he. We, however,
believe that the Go•vernnientl's majority
will not be less than twenty-eight or
thirty. when the house meets.
Tuo elections are yet, .to take place,
in Iluntingden, which. has always been
Reform, when voting takes place on
-the 23rd. iest. , and -Algoma- which- will
return a Conservative, the -date has'
