on the W. G. & B. railway has more
buyers of horses, cattle, sheep and

The Patrons of Indus&ry held a
meeting here on. Thursday of last week

Orange Blossoms
On Wednesday evening, the 28th
ult., a large number of friends and
acquaintances assembled at the house
of Mr. A. D. Cameron to witness the
marriage of his daughter, Tena A, to
Augustus H. Wilson When the
matrimonial knot was securely tied by
the Rev. Mr. Anderson, those present
gathered round a sumptuously laden
table, and satisfied the wants of the
inner man. The bride was. the re-
cipient of ,a large number of beautiful
presents showing.the high esteem -in
which she is held by her manyfriends.
The happy couple leave for - Chicago,
their future home,' on Wednesday
next, and the SENTINEL joins in wish-
ing them very many years of 'happi-
ness and prosperity. • •

Dog Tax •,
On the first of -January last, • the
-new law respecting,- degs—cam-e---into-
force. Under. this law. there is an
.annual tax of one dollar on each doge
and two dollars on each bitch in .every
municipality in , Ontario, but the law
provides. that should twenty-five rate-
payers petition the council of.
municipality,• the council way pass a,
by-law that the said tax or any part
of it shall not be levied in said. neeni-
cipality. Should such by-law not be
passed then the collector of the tax is
compulsory on the inutiicipality...
