t The arrangements for holding the
Fall Show, in this village on Tuesday
itnd Wednesday next, are about com-
pleted, and should the weather prove
favorable we expect to see the best
and largest exhibit that has ever been
splendid prize list offered by the
Society, there are a number of special
events to warrant the success of the
exhibition. The great Manitoba ex-
hibit, which has been the admiration :
of the many thousands of spectator
who saw it in London and Toronto, is
alone well worth the price of achnission.
ir hese products of the great Northwest
and the Territr,ries are the most exten-
!five that have,ever been sent out from
the prairie provifices, and will occupy
• nearly 300 feet of :surface in the large
. hall on the show grounds. They will
he in charge of competent officers who
will explain the different products to
all who may wish to hear of the
wonderful fertility of the soil in that
IProvince. - .
Another good featurnand attraction
of -the -falls -hews wirl-be-the-exhibit of
bones s etc., of the • great mastodon
found recently near the village of
Highgate, in the County o ent.
This wanderful monster, by whose
side the elephant of the African • or
Asiatic forests is but a pigmy, has
been the wonder of all the leading
shows at Toronto and other placessand
should be seen by all. The whole
skeleton is complete, and is an entirely
different species of animal to that ex-
hibited in Lucknow a short time,- ago.

Ihe company exhibiting these wonder-
ful bOnes have a first-c1ass brass band
that :will also- furnish 'music for the
fall show. .,
SPEEDING IN THE RING. .
, .
This event proinises to eclipse any-
thing of the kind held at former shows,
and will fornealmost a continued line
ofeattrections during the whole after-
noon of Wednesday. This list in-
cludes a two and three year old trot,
open to all horses in the counties of
Huron and Bruce, an open trot and a
running .rae6,#botir open teethe world.'
Vila,clog races swill be-another:interest-
ingseyent, as,,we expect to see a large
number of entries, both from village
and outside canines.
It ie expected that Messrs.. John
Gentles, of Kincardine ; Arthur
'Forbes, of Seaforth ; and James Web-
ster, of Kinloss, will be the judges for
the speeding in the ring centests.

The special prizes by the Society of
$3, $2 and $1, for the best lady driver;

esting event, and although there is no
prizes for lady riding this year, it

ino. for the small price of 10 cents
