In fact it is the only sport in the place, no Cricket,' no Lacrosse, no Base Ball, no Tennis, nothing but the jingle of the "Kits" is to be heard. On Siaeaday, Jock Adams and- John McGarry played a gime of twenty two points. Jock allowed McGarry ten points, but the latter had reached twenty two before Jock got up to twelve. Agother • game was played, even up, in which Mr. McGarry was again the victor, the _score being 22to6. —Deputy District 'Master Bro. Business Transacted at the 1>rtegular Meeting, Wingliam on July 8th. The moder- ator's term of office having expired it was announced that Mr. Howie'a name was next on the roll. Mr. Howie was' accordingly appointed moderator, Elders' commission in favor of Mr. Daniel Meiklejohn was presented by the Session of Knox church, 13elgrave.
